It is said that music soothes the savage beast; I’m not sure about that but I know it is a great stress reducer. Music reaches deep into our heart and soul. Music is used as a therapeutic technique. It eases stress and tension in the mind and body and helps develop a deeper spiritual experience. Music lowers blood pressure and heart rate. The type of music is not as important as how it effects the individual. I love classical musical and folk rock; some people have told me that heavy metal relaxes them. Whatever your choice of music; make it a part of your self care routine.
